kdlstudio is an applied AI consulting practice focused on the built environment. We work with architecture, technology, and design firms to transform manual, document-heavy processes into operational software and data-driven design systems.

Rather than analytics dashboards, we build systems that participate in the work itself— understanding spatial context, reviewing specifications, answering questions, routing information, and assisting teams in real time. These systems combine agents, retrieval pipelines, and integrated interfaces embedded within existing tools.

Alongside automation, we develop computational design workflows that enable teams to co-create with AI. Using data, simulation, and generative methods, these systems explore design options, evaluate constraints, and support engineering and planning decisions. Rather than replacing designers, they expand the decision space — allowing teams to test scenarios, understand tradeoffs, and discover solutions they might not otherwise reach.
